Forsaken for a Sake book and mentoring programme launch event was held on 9th November 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria in partnership with African Reinsurance Corporation through the Africa Re Foundation and KORA Coaching and Business Academy. The program aims at building a healthier and more inclusive society across the continent through mentoring and personal development.

The partnership seeks to add value to the African Union Agenda 2063 toward The Africa We Want with the focus on its “Aspiration 6” for an Africa, whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children.

The programme launch ceremony concluded with a book signing session and the author meeting with each beneficiary who are set to start their intensive short certification courses on mentoring skills and practice sessions based on the 30-Day Self-Coaching Daily Devotional workbook.

The event created a meaningful platform where tangible transformation unfolded—hearts were healed, stories were shared, and new paths of growth were illuminated. Through carefully facilitated intergenerational exchanges between mentors and mentees, participants gained valuable insights and guidance, strengthening the bond between experience and aspiration.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the fathers and mothers who generously shared their wisdom by mentoring the next generation of leaders—Mastercard Foundation Scholars at the University of Rwanda (UR). Their contribution not only shaped the conversations of the day but also left a lasting impact that will continue to inspire resilience, leadership, and purpose for years to come.
