Forsaken For a Sake Self-Coaching Collection: Overcoming Fatherlessness

About This Campaign

In the beginning...

It all started last year, when preparing for a Father’s Day Mentoring Walk & Talk event in partnership with our company’s key stakeholders. Ahead of the day celebrating Fatherhood, I had decided to share my personal journey of overcoming hidden trauma of growing up with an absentee father at a critical time of my life.
As a countdown to the event held on Sunday 18th June 2023, I journaled 7 specific areas, which I had identified and worked on over the last few years, including some recent events. The focal areas journaled over a period of 7 days included:

After publishing my journey of ups and downs on Social Media in a simple and teachable daily devotional format, I was both touched and amazed by the feedback received by those who quietly followed the countdown posts each day until Father’s Day.
Many people of diverse backgrounds in Africa, Middle East and Europe predominantly wrote to me in private and on my social media comments sections about how my 7-day devotional gave them food for thoughts. It helped them to understand themselves a bit better and deal with unresolved issues related to Fatherlessness or wounds related to Fatherhood and/or lack thereof.

How it went...and Why this campaign

Some suggested directly that I should write a book about my story in a slightly longer format. That would help them beyond the 7-day format, initially published as short posts. As I contemplate the upcoming Father’s Day, I considered acting on my very loyal and trusted audience’s request and give them tools that are more than what was done last year.
To do that, I called upon the assistance of a local publishing company to assist with the book editing and publishing in order to enable people to raise consciousness around this very important societal issue, while providing available solutions to them.

Campaign Solutions

Though your contribution that will go toward publishing costs of the book dubbed as “Self-Coaching Collection: Overcoming Fatherlessness” this coming Father’s Day 16th June 2024, you will help readers of various ages and backgrounds around the world to do the following:

  • Learn more about the importance of Fathers in our communities
  • Understand how Displacements post geopolitical issues impact the next generation based on my own story of being born a refugee, as one among other case studies
  • Heal the wounds of growing up without a Father in the home
  • Understand the negative lasting effects of Fatherlessness in Personal and Organizational Leadership
  • Be guided through a Self-Coaching journey over a period of 30 days through devotional companion
  • Join a Community of Overcomers who will have gone through the same journey from #TraumaToTriumph and #ForaSake

In the end...

Your endorsement will impact the lives of many people by sponsoring either the novel of my testimony with a methodical lessons at USD15 per book and its companion at USD25 with Self-Coaching 30 cards to activate the readers’ Transformation. You may also choose to endorse a wrapped a gift bag with a combination of both items.


Our Goal is to initially publish 1,000 copies of the novel with 1,000 copies of its companion which is the second edition of the Author’s Self-Coaching Collection.
With your endorsement, we will help a young man or woman (and not so young ones who are yet to address that specific issue) somewhere in the world to be equipped with knowledge about past or present behaviours hindering their growth. That will be achieved through equipping readers with tools that will allow them to be free and lead a fulfilling and Transformed life.

Beneficiaries of 1,000 Novels & 1,000 Deck Cards

The selection process will be fair and transparent and managed through the Publisher. Beneficiaries are not limited to 1 country, but open to nations across the African Continent or any other host nation willing to partner with the cause in their own cities locally.

National and Sectoral Impact

In addition to the above intended outcomes outlined by the Author, publishing and releasing the e-books out of Rwanda will achieve the following key impacts that align with Rwanda’s National Strategy for Transformation (NST1) agenda:

Women Economic Empowerment: both the Publisher and Author are Women Entrepreneurs. Hence their respective businesses are Women-Led and Women-Owned Companies

Youth Employment: to be created throughout the project team

Developing Service-led and Knowledge-based Enterprises on a Global stage: the books will be launched in an e-book format available on Amazon with an openness for collaboration with major publishing houses along with the Rwanda-Based Publisher

Diaspora Engagement: raising awareness of Rwanda’s Home-Grown Solutions locally and internationally, by creating a production and distribution value chain of the books entirely sourced and produced locally and “Made-In-Rwanda”

MICE: hosting series of events as part of the book campaign launch with subsequent tailored book reading sessions and workshops for small or larger gatherings

Your Contribution

To meet the Publisher and Author’s goal to unveil the campaign results in time for Father’s Day, which is scheduled for Sunday 16th June 2024, we would be grateful for any contributions and referrals you are able to make starting from the Author’s birthday, 11th May 2024. This date in the month of May is an integral and riveting centrepiece that is extensively covered in the novel. A special birthday gift to the Author with your contribution, will not only be appreciated but also provide opportunities for others to learn and grow out of the pain of Fatherlessness.

Campaign Target
The campaign aims at raising USD 50,000 to cover for costs related to editing, publishing, distribution, book launch as well as capturing testimonial stories of how the 30-Day Self-Coaching journey has helped the beneficiaries.
